Hi!
Earlier this week a tweet from an OBGyn made me absolutely furious. I'm not going to say anything else, you just see it for yourself:
Ha! Funny enough just a week ago I asked you on Instagram to tell me if you had a magic wand, what was the *one* thing you'd wish you could disappear from your life. Everyone's answers, for the most part, had something to do with a hormone imbalance:
Lack of energy (cortisol)
PCOS (cortisol, sex hormones)
Poor Sleep (melatonin, cortisol)
Chronic stress (cortisol, adrenaline, norepinephrine)
Chronic constipation (thyroid)
Uncontrollable weight gain (cortisol, adipose tissue)
The list goes on
So, according to this practitioner, your reality is not valid, it is not real.
I have too been gaslighted by practitioners. And I am here to tell you to run away and to find someone who believes your symptoms.
I understand this is not every OBGyn's sentiment, of course! But medical gaslighting is a reality that must be addressed. Not long ago, most practitioners didn't believe women when they said that they started experiencing suicidal thoughts after going on the pill, for instance.
But there's one thing your medical doctor is not there to do: your medical doctor is not there to educate you, unfortunately. They have 10-20 minutes per patient and it's just how the system is set up. This is why the work that holistic nutritionists do is oh so important.

What do PCOS, painful periods, and energy imbalances have in common? chronic stress. So I went ahead and wrote a short but precise blog post on how to balance your hormones naturally. Here's a tidbit:
Eat Raw Carrots
Drink your coffee with food
Take a liver supplement
Throw away that canola oil
Ditch the HIIT

And by the way, today I'll be going LIVE with Andrea Briceño, a holistic health coach and a spiritual psychology coach to talk all about body love. We've got some great questions so far. You don't want to miss this convo!

Man, that rant earlier sure felt good. Thank you for reading and for being there.
